About my Internship
I Interned with the Delmarva Shorebirds minor league baseball team. The Shorebirds, the Single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are based in Salisbury and many SU students and alumni have found internships and employment opportunities there. As such, it was relatively easy for me to get in touch with the front office staff. Throughout the Summer of 2025, I worked under Assistant General Manager, marketing, Ben Vigliarolo.
During my time with the Shorebirds, I have had so many great opportunities to learn about how a professional sports team operates in terms of day-to-day operations, marketing, promotions, and management. I've been able to meet a lot of great people as well as other interns as well. I came in with some knowledge of things like graphic design and scoreboard operations, but with the Shorebirds, Ben and other staff members have taught me so many more details than I could ever have imagined.
